Share Post:

Learning to love working out isn’t the easiest thing in the world, especially if you consider yourself to be a bit of a couch potato. Humans were built to be active. We aren’t supposed to sit around scrolling, watching TV, and working sedentary jobs. While we might not have much of a choice on the job front, we can definitely begin to make changes to how we spend our spare time. Getting into the habit of working out might sound like a nightmare now, but with the 5 smart tricks that we have here, you’ll learn to love it in no time. Take a look!

  1. Find Strong Reasons For Working Out

It really isn’t tough to find strong reasons for working out. There are so many reasons to do it; absolutely everybody should be working out. Working out strengthens the immune system, helping us to fight off various illness and diseases both now and in the future. Working out also increases happy hormones in the body, helping us to feel happier and more optimistic now and in the future. You should never just work out because you want to get smaller/look better. Looking fitter and healthier can be a huge bonus, but it usually takes more than that to do it. Here are a few more reasons:

  • Live a higher quality of life later on
  • Live a longer life
  • Keep your brain, bones, and other parts of your body healthy
  • Set a good example to your kids/family
  • Challenge yourself

  1. Take Your Time

You don’t have to commit to working out 6, 5, or even 4 times a week in the beginning. You don’t even have to commit to 3, if you don’t want to. 3 is usually a good number, but you might find 2 more effective if you’re just starting out. Choose 2 days you know you’ll be able to work out with minimal fuss, and pick a class or find a workout online. Take your time getting into a routine and add more in when you feel able. In the end, it’s about what your goals are and how often you really want to go to the gym. Some people feel great and look great with just 3 sessions a week, other people love how it makes them feel and go 5 times a week. It’s all personal!

  1. Try Lots Of Different Types Until You Find Something You Enjoy

If you don’t think you like exercise, try lots of different types until you find something you enjoy.

You could try a C2 Pilates class one day, and a HIIT class another day. Maybe you could find a guide or have one made for you by a qualified professional. Just have fun with it!

  1. Monitor Your Progress

Make sure you monitor your progress, and not just the physical, either. Monitor how strong you’re getting, how fast you’re getting, and how much better you feel. Keeping a journal can help!

  1. Work Out At The Best Time For You

Some people love working out after a long day at work. It helps them to feel less stressed. Some people can’t force themselves to go when they’ve been to work, so they go in the morning and set themselves up for the day. It’s different for everybody!
