Today I wanted to write about something that I’ve been planning for days and months!
I learned many things as well as changed some of my habits in this quarantine but, one major change and thing I learned is about my personal fashion style! I’ve always been fond of fashion, styles, and beauty.
This quarantine made me ponder about it all and trust me, I decluttered my closet like.. 3 times and I realized I’ve been wearing things I never really liked or the things that don’t flatter me as much as I thought they would. Maybe we will talk about how I decluttered my wardrobe, tips, and tricks to find your personal style later, but this article isn’t about it.
Now, here are my top reasons why I’m switching to a minimal/time capsule wardrobe! these tips are universal so I’m giving you the merits and advantages of a time capsule wardrobe. Hopefully, you’ll get something out of this.
𝐈𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐓𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐋𝐄𝐒𝐒
As I mentioned above, it is timeless. meaning it never goes out of style (if you buy basic yet necessary pieces) I personally don’t often buy clothes, so it makes sense to stick to something that’s never boring and out of the fashion.

Just in case if you think neutrals are boring, in my opinion, they are not. Neutral shades look so classic as we can see many classic models and celebrities like Audrey Hepburn, Katharine Hepburn, Marilyn Monroe who were the icons of classic style. We still do have modern celebs who are rocking classic fashion in the 21st century. Besides, neutral shades look elegant and chic.

We all know that blacks, whites, and little of browns are staple colors in our wardrobe, when I say neutrals go with everything, I mean it! whether it’s winter season or summer or spring or fall… it’s perfect to layer up with different neutral shades of clothing during colder months and you can add a little of colors for summers and springs! Pastel shades were rocking in 2020 and it’s here to stay!
After all, it’s all about what makes you happy!
I realized recently, I have way too many clothes that I no longer wear or some that I never used in my life at all. I regret spending money on things that don’t make me feel confident and happy or the things that I didn’t feel comfortable with, or it just didn’t go with my personal style.
Minimal essentials would be great to have extra space in your wardrobe and money in your hand.
I have always liked minimal dainty jewelry, and it would go perfect with a minimalist wardrobe and classic pieces. Especially if you invest in good gold pleated or gold imitation jewels.
𝐈𝐓’𝐒 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐌 𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐓𝐎!
Why did I decide to switch my wardrobe into a minimalist one? I tell you something, it’s just not only about saving money, time, and having extra space in your closet. I’ve had people complimenting my outfits. I realized, browns and neutral shades go well with my skin tone and who doesn’t like getting compliments?
So I say, find your color palette and stick to it! Don’t get me wrong I’m not totally done with bold colors and prints.

When you have a color palette of 6 or 8, it becomes a lot easier when you go shopping, I mean you know which piece you’re going for, hence saving time and money.

It has been proven that black, snowy white, creamy caramel, greys, and beige colors make everything look extra expensive and polished. As I already mentioned above, these are classic shades and instantly give you a sophisticated elegant look. Especially if you invest in fine quality materials like linen, silk, cashmere or satin, and so on.
This is my personal opinion on personal style and colors, but at the end of the day, what you like and feel comfortable in is what matters the most. I believe that ‘style is a reflection of your attitude and your personality‘ hence, just do what makes you happy!
Thank you so much for spending your time with me today, hopefully, this helped you at least a bit, even if it doesn’t.. I’m glad to have you around!
