5 Ways to Become more Confident

1. Don’t Judge others

This is at the top of the list because I think it is super important. In this day and age, it is so easy to put another down with your words by saying nasty comments or critiquing others on what they wear, do or act. Yes we all have opinions of certain things however, if it involves someone or bad mouthing someone, pause and think, will this affect my life in anyway. No? let it go and don’t say it.

When you are hard on other people, you will be more hard on yourself. Speaking negativity will only cause you to think and act negatively making you less confident. I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but the people who talk the most crap about others are usually the most insecure. So stop thinking about others and use that time to think about yourself and not about how ‘so and so did this, and so and so did that’. Which leads to tip 2.

2. Give

If you temporarily feel like you don’t mean much, give. Give doesn’t mean you have to go on a grand scale and give your whole paycheck to charity. Give means you can go help out at the local animal shelter. Or helping out your elderly neighbor with her weekly cleaning routine. Or even something simple like giving someone a compliment. By doing selfless things for others, you will eventually convince yourself that you’re not so bad after all. With positive thought and action, you will feel more positive. Do whait you are able to do, even the smallest things can mean a lot to others. As someone who often loves volunteering, the thankful faces of others is all the reward I need.

3. Music

Listen to a badass playlist. Good music brings up your mood and gives you that boost of confidence. Have you ever heard a song with such a sick ass beat where you can imagine yourself strutting in high heels with you head held high? No? Just me? ok… haha. But the point is that listening to the right music will help. For me sometimes I may experiment with fashion and just wear something that is out of my comfort zone. When you’re out of your comfort zone, I feel like you’re more aware of your surroundings and I felt like people were giving me weird looks or people around me were giving me attention where you I just felt uncomfortable. I just plugged on those earphones and played that badass playlist, looked straight ahead and marched ahead.

4. Stretch Yourself

If you want to grow, you have to stretch. Its going to hurt a little but that’s the only way for you to grow. Set a date and do something you’ve never done before. Do something you always wanted to do but was fearful or not confident enough to do. Don’t avoid the things you want to do because one day you will look back and see the opportunities you had but never took up on them. For example if you’re at an amusement park and you’ve never been on a rollercoaster before but you don’t want to because it looks scary. Try it. You’ve never done it before, who knows? Maybe you’ll like it. If you don’t, then you can actually say that you’ve done it, experienced it and you’re never going back haha. But the main thing is that you’ve done it so you should have no regrets. If you miss the opportunity time and time again, by the time you’re old you may regret that you never tried when you were younger.

5. Express yourself through Fashion

Fashion. I love fashion. I love how one can express themselves through fashion. I don’t know about you but when you wear something badass you feel powerful and strong. It gives you a temporary boost of confidence because you feel like you’ve got an armor and can take on the world. I don’t know how much you guys like fashion but wearing nice and things that you like boosts your mood. For example, when you wear sweats you feel comfortable and just wanna snuggle and nap. However once you change into some heels and put some make up, you’re like another person. Confident and beautiful. So don’t be afraid of who you are and dress however you like to be more confident!
So love yourself! You are beautiful and when you are confident, your beauty shines at its brightest.
